The festival took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from November 10th to 16th. The festival was hosted by Graduado Rafael and Instrutor Quek (GBC Malaysia). Special guests included Mestre Pintor (GBC Brazil), Graduado Claudinho (GBC Singapore), Instrutor Grão (GBC Australia), Instrutor Caçapa (GBC Japan), Andrew (GBC Indonesia), Tong (GBC Thailand), and Contra Mestre Silvio do Berimbau (Ação Quilombo Capoeira Singapore).

On May 20th, Mestre Pintor celebrated 20 Years since he received the title of Mestre in the presence of such famous mestres as Suassuna, Jacaré, Nagô, Itapoã, Paulo dos Anjos, Iziquié and Gato back in 1989.

As of 9:30am the ground conditions are slightly wet. Lots of yucky grey clouds in the sky, and there’s a bit of a chill in the air. However, people are out and about enjoying the park.
There’s a 50% chance of rain in the afternoon. So it looks like we’ll have to cancel the park roda.
Roda or no roda, Caçapa will be out there having some fun with the berimbaus, rain, hail, or shine.
Bring some street roda shoes if you’re up for some fun
