Well, just to sum up today's roda... it was a nice sunny day. There were plenty of people in the park. All kinds of people frequent Yoyogi Koen (Park) and it's quite an eye-opener for new comers to Tokyo. We got there right on time, and started up the bateria. More people came in dribs-n-drabs, and we finally had enough people to do a roda. We weren't so happy with our location on the wood deck, so we went searching for a nice patch of grass. Not an easy task in Tokyo, let me tell you. Anyway, we eventually found a satisfactory area and had a nice roda. The highlight of the day was the fact that among the capoeiristas 4 or 5 different groups were represented, all open-minded friends coming together to share their love of capoeira. We look forward to the next open roda!
