Last night we had the privilage to take part in Mestre Lua Rasta’s closing roda in Kichijoji. Caçapa, Cafune, Quati, Kanako, Kotaro, Espaguete, Ai, and Joeseph all made it to this special event to share the Bantus Axé with the angoleiros of Tokyo. Several Capoeira Angola groups were represented, while Bantus was the only Contemporanea group there to help celebrate Professor Mandela’s hard work in Japan. The singing from Mestre Lua was amazing, and the capoeira was wonderful to watch. The roda went for over two hours!
