The Mitaka Sports Festival will take place from 9:30am - 3:30pm in Mitaka, Tokyo. The event will include hands-on workshops and games of all kinds of ball sports and fun activities. In-line skating, climbing, swimming, appearances from famous Japanese athletes, displays of Sumo, Cheerleading and various styles of dance. And of course, a roda and workshop by Bantus Capoeira and special guests.
The events will take place at the 三鷹市役所 Mitaka Shiyakusho (City Hall), and adjoining Minamiura Elementary School and Dai-ichi Junior High School.
Our program:
中庭特設ステージ Mitaka Shiyakusho Nakaniwa Outdoor Courtyard Stage
11:50 - 12:10 - Full Capoeira bateria (singing and instruments). Mini-Workshop. Roda.
In case it rains, we will move to an in-door stage.
Everyone who wants to take part in this event must wear white capoeira pants and a white capoeira t-shirt.
All Bantus members must wear their Bantus Japan uniform.
No uniform is needed to take part in the public workshop, or just to watch.
No smoking, drinking or littering.
We will meet at the bus stop in front of the City Hall at 9:50am!

From JR Chuo Kichijoji Station Koenguchi Park Exit:
小田急バス Odakyu Bus or 京王バス Keio Bus in front of Marui (OIOI) Number 3 Bus Stop (all buses), or Bus #92 from Number 4 Bus Stop. Try to arrive in Kichijoji at around 9:20am. The bus will drop you off right in front of the City Hall, about 20 metres from the stage where we will be performing.
