Well yesterday was another sunny but cool day, and a great day for a roda. GBC Inokashira Park Roda #3 was in a slightly different location this time because the resident park busker was back in action. So we found an even better location a few metres down the path. It was a nicer, flatter, cleaner location but didn't seem to have the same magnetic attraction as the spot in front of the Pepacafe Forest. At least everyone found our new location without a problem, as I'm sure you could hear the atabaque and berimbaus from across the pond!! Thanks to everyone who could make it to the roda. Cafune, Kanako, Kotaro, Mico, Espaguete, Sung, Noriko and Takeshinho. So, next week we'll have the roda at 3pm, and class will start at 6.30pm at San Chu. So, we'll have a lot more time to get into the roda, and work up a sweat. Rain is predicted for Sunday 20th, so if that comes true, the roda will have to be cancelled. If the rain is only a light drizzle, the show will go on. Before the class, we'll have some food, and hang out and have fun, like we always do. ;-)

Today's roda was fun. We managed to avoid the light drizzle that started midway through our roda, as we were already under the shelter of the trees above. We had a special performance on the Cavaquinho from a passer by, and many other people were curious.to find out more about capoeira. So, let's see more Bantus members attending the Sunday Street Rodas in Inokashira Park before it really does get too cold to move! See you all next week at this regular free event.

One more thing. Espaguete has made a promise to learn more songs to lead in the roda. That means learning the chorus, and all the verses to the song. I hope everyone, no matter what language you speak, can make an attempt to learn some new songs! So far, Cafune and Kanako are leading the way for our Japanese and Female members. C'mon guys, let's keep that axé flowing! We might have a special international guest for our roda on Sunday 6th November. Please pray for good weather.

PS. To all Bantus members: If you can come a few minutes early, please swing by our apartment first to help with the instruments. Thank you for your cooperation.

Thanks to Cafune, Kanchan, Kotaro, Mico, Takeshinho, and Marcus from Grupo Filhos da Bahia - Melbourne for coming to today's street roda. We definitely got a few amazed spectators interested in capoeira today. Many people took flyers and asked us about the roda. Thanks to Kota for doing a lot of promo - there's a job giving away free tissues waiting for him when he turns 16! Let's hope the weather is just as pleasant next Sunday so we can have an even bigger roda before our class at Go Sho at 3pm. Remember, everyone is welcome to the street roda, friends, family, co-workers, and all good people.
