So, for all members of Bantus Capoeira Japão, you are required to purchase the white GBC uniform. Including the white GBC Japão camisa (t-shirt), and white GBC abada (pants), as seen below. The white GBC Japão clothes are exclusive to GBC members only.

but can I wear a Bantus tanktop as opposed to a tshirt? I feel quite uncomfortable wearing tshirts because of the amount I sweat!
Even in the winter I sweat right through a tshirt but the summer??? Well were talking disastrous consequences - students slipping all over the floor and students slipping off my wet tshirt all over the place!!!
Please reconsider this uniform rule!!!!
You can always rip-off or roll-up the sleeves, or just go topless when it gets too slippery. Mestre said all instructors must wear the white GBC abada and a white t-shirt when teaching class. For when it gets too hot, we are allowed to take off our t-shirts (only), he said!! LOL ps. I forgot to add, when wearing your white GBC abadas, you must wear your corda, if you haven’t been baptized yet, you must wear a plain white corda. You are not allowed to wear your corda with any other capoeira pants.
hmm this tshirt rule seems a bit ott - I have seen other Bantus instructors wearing Bantus tank tops and more to the point I am not an instructor anyway! So are you sure it applies to students? Any chance you could mail Mestre and ask him if he can either change his decree to include tanktops for students or grant me an exception?

Sorry for the confusion. Here’s the 411. Bantus Students: Please wear your white abada & corda or colour capoeira pants and t-shirt or tank-top in every class and roda. If you have any special needs, then just talk with your instructor and come to an agreement. Bantus Instructors: Must wear white abada and white t-shit or tank-top when leading the class. Everyone: During cold or hot weather or at impromptu rodas, this rule is flexible.
