15 Anos do GBC & Festival Mundial Bantus Capoeira
15th Anniversary of GBC and World Festival Bantus Capoeira
August 2006
Yes, that is a real mouthful! And the festival in August is set to pick you up, spin you around, and throw you into the next year!
GBC Malaysia were the first to break the news (here and here) then GBC Australia had their go.
GBC Japan will have an official announcement coming soon, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, enjoy these photos from GBC Brazil, and re-live the Bantus Promo Video to whet your appetite.

Same old screensaver, brand new size.
gbc jp screensaver version 3 - mini
I was kind of getting annoyed how my PC was slowing down when the screensaver popped up. So instead of buying a new PC, I made the screensaver a little smaller.
The ‘Grande’ size screensaver is still available in our downloads section, or click below.

Aruana Group
This party looks set to really kick off 2006 with a bang!
There’ll be Forro, Live Samba Bands, Live Brazilian Music, Berimbau Orchestra, Make-Your-Own-Havaianas and more!
So let’s get a group from Bantus together, and rock the party!!!
RSVP below
Ask anyone, and they’ll tell you it just feels much colder in Tokyo this year than last year.
So here’s some training tips for the colder months, until it starts heating up come Hanami time.
Indoor Shoes
Bring a pair of non-marking, indoor sports shoes. A dedicated pair of indoor shoes is preferred, but if you can clean up a pair of lightweight outdoor sports shoes, that’s OK too.
Layers
Come with a long sleeve sweat shirt, or hoodie.
Wear a couple of Bantus Capoeira t-shirts to keep you warm.
Wear one pair of Bantus Capoeira pants over the top of another pair of Bantus Capoeira pants to prevent injury and lactic acid build up!!!

It was bloody freezing, and despite the dissapointing turnout, the four of us had a great time and enjoyed some delicious Brazilian food.
Thanks to Cafune’s awesome new digital camera.

Tonight at Alvorada we happened to be sitting next to Damiao Gomes de Sousa and Alexandre Fujita as we were enjoying our Feijoada, Coxinhas, and Caipirinhas.
They invited us to their next collaboration in the series of Bem Brasil - Live Music Projects.

Date: 21st January 2006.
Dress: Sexy/Casual.
