Bantus Forum

If you haven’t already joined the Bantus Capoeira Worldwide Forum, you’re missing out on mixing with your fellow Bantulinos from all over the world. You can discuss Bantus related information with capoeiristas from Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, and soon to join us will be Brazil, China, Holland, Germany, and Israel.

First you need to apply for an account, then sign in. It’ll only take a minute of your time.

You can use any language to communicate in the fourm, but English is the default language across the different Bantus branches.

Other ways to interact with the capoeira community all over the world is to join one or both of the services below. But first you’ll need an invitation onto the site, so just send us an email to let us know you’re interested.

Brazilian Portuguese

Orkut is an Internet social network service run by Google and named after its creator, Google employee Orkut Büyükkökten. It claims to be designed to help users meet new friends and maintain existing relationships. Similar to Friendster, orkut goes a step further by permitting “communities” of users. It is also invitation-only: users must be invited to join the community by someone already there. You’ll also get to practice your Portuguese as 73% of users are Brazilian. More

If you already use orkut click here.

Japanese

Mixi Community is one of SNS (social networking service) sites in Japan. Functions are sending/receiving messages, writing/reading a diary and making comments on diaries, organizing/joining communities and inviting friends. It is also invitation-only: users must be invited to join the community by someone already there. On mixi you’ll have to practice your Japanese as 99% of users are Japanese. More
