Capoeira Basics Class
On the 3rd floor of Event Hall Musashino (next door to the famous Village Vanguard Diner Kichijoji).
Time: 7pm- 9pm Every Saturday
Location: Event Hall Musashino 3F - Less than 5 minutes walk from Kichijoji Station.
Clothes: Wear comfortable pants and a t-shirt. If you have capoeira pants and a capoeira t-shirt wear those. Bantus Capoeira pants and t-shirts will be available for purchase at the class.
Details: A fun and enjoyable workout learning the basics of capoeira. Get fit and flexible while making new friends and immersing yourself in a new and exciting culture.

Because the Sakura (Cherry Blossoms) are just so damn beautiful right now we’re going to have a little sneak preview of our Hanami Party that we have planned for Sunday April 9th. So straight after class we’ll check out the gorgeous Inokashira Cherry Blossoms and get some take-away dinner to eat in the park.

Details: Dinner under the stars and the cherry blossoms of Inokashira Park.
This is our real Hanami Party for 2006.
We’ll have capoeira class from 3pm - 5pm at San Chu, then we’ll rush to our hanami spot in Inokashira Park that Cafune and I will secure by sleeping there the night before (that’s the only way to guarantee a good spot)!
There’ll be free handmade Brazilian snacks (thanks Cafune) for those lucky enough.
Of course there’ll also be lots of music, singing, and capoeira!!!
Please bring some food and drink. There are plenty of great shops in Kichijoji, but why not bring your speciality dish to share with the other bantulinos.

Our first Roda in Space was a great success, so we’re looking to repeat and this time double the attendace of this cool event.
Roda in Space is great way to check out what Bantus Capoeira Japan is all about. You’ll get to see real capoeira in action! There’ll be special guests and lots of fun. And great food after the event.

From Kichijoji Station (JR Chuo Line)
Take the West/Lon Lon Exit
(西口・ロンロン本館口). Just walk straight through Lon Lon Department Store until you reach the end. You will see an escalator going down to KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken). Walk out of Lon Lon Department Store onto the intersection of Inokashira Dori and Kichijoji Dori. You’ll see Step in Step shoe store on your left, and the Koban Police Box directly in front of you. Cross over to Step in Step, walking straight down Inokashira Dori with Step in Step on your left. Walk past the Tuka kei tai (mobile phone) shop. Turn left and walk down the alley between Tuka and the Kichijoji Sunplaza Space building. Space 38 is on your right.

Oi galera, I hope you can all come out to April’s Monthly Roda. It’s a great chance to show the results of our hard work this past month and play to our heart’s content.
