We’ve been invited to Grupo Tempo’s 4th Batizado and Troca de Cordas.
Contra Mestre Tony and Professor Nível 1 Furacão from Brazil will be conducting the batizado while Aluno Formado Ligeirinho and Aluno Formado Moleque de Ouro from Japan will make sure things run smoothly.
The day is going to be jam packed with capoeira and Brazilian folkloric performances. From 1pm to 5.30pm there’s going to rodas of capoeira and samba, mariscada, puxada de rede, maculelê, and the official batizado and troca de cordas.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to meet many other capoeiristas from all over Japan and mix with other capoeira groups.
Time: 1pm - 5.30pm.
Date: Sunday 16th July, 2006.
Location: Shinjuku Cosmic Sports Center, 3-1-2 Ookubo Shinjuku-ku Tokyo, Takadanobaba Station (JR Line/ Tozai Line/ Seibu Shinjuku Line).
Dress: White Bantus Capoeira uniform (or colour capoeira street clothes if you don’t own the white uniform).
Note: There will be no Bantus Capoeira class this day.

We’ll have some special guests from an international television show in class on Sunday. They will be doing some shooting for a “Martial Arts in Japan” documentary.
So please wear your white Bantus uniform if you have one, or colour Bantus Capoeira street clothes. We’re going to have an awesome roda in the spacious Go Sho after the class. So make sure you bring all your axé! Invite all your friends and tell them they’re going to have a great time. We want lots of energy and lots of people to make sure the video looks good enough to get onto the show.
If it’s your first time to a Bantus Capoeira class it’s only 600yen to participate. Drop-in classes are only 1000yen. That’s over 2000yen cheaper than what some other capoeira groups in Tokyo charge!
Time: 3pm - 3.45pm music. 3.45pm - 5.15pm capoeira class. 5.15pm - 6pm Roda!!

We’re going to have a long night on Satruday, but that’s no excuse to not come to class on Sunday. So let’s keep the axé going for 48 hours!

Saturday 17th June 2006
Get ready for this rainy season’s hottest, sexiest nightclub event to hit the streets of Roppongi.
Grupo Bantus Capoeira Japão’s first nightclub event for 2006. In collaboration with our friend Fabio Baiano of Nação Capoeira, you’re going to see some awesome capoeira action. Along with Samba dancing provided by the gorgeous Nao, and live music from hip hop crew Cee Monkey. Don’t forget the guest international DJs, and 12 local DJs to keep the grooves going into the wee hours.
And a Nudist Beach Summer Beach Love Party wouldn’t be complete without some adult video starlets to provide the atmosphere. So please invite your friends, coworkers, and everyone else to this exciting event in Tokyo’s party neighbourhood.
