Don’t forget
Don’t forget to check the time and location of our classes. Tuesday and Thursday classes will be starting at around 7pm, so please try to arrive 5-10 minutes before class. If you’re running late, just send an email to Caçapa or Cafune’s mobile so we know to expect you.
Sorry about the irregular schedule and locations. In 2007 we hope to fix that problem, and introduce many new and exciting elements to Bantus Capoeira Japão. Please keep training hard and enjoy the Bantus axé!
Special Classes
First Tuesday of the Month Capoeira Angola Class.
Learn the basics of this beautiful style of capoeira.
First Sunday of the Month Bantus Capoeira Special Roda.
3pm-4:30pm: Warm-up and free training. You’ll have the chance to practice all those moves you’ve been learning throughout the previous month, plus work on advanced moves and acro on our mats. You can also practice music, singing and dancing. Use this time to the fullest by asking your instructors for personalized tips.
4:30pm-5:30pm: Roda of the month. A full roda with complete bateria (3 berimbaus, atabaque, and pandeiro) and jam-packed with axé and excitement.
Special notes: At this class you’ll have the chance to purchase official Bantus Capoeira T-shirts and Pants and other official merchandise needed to play, train, and join in our capoeira shows. So please save a spare bit of cash because you’ll need to pay your monthly fee also.
We encourage you to bring your friends to this class for their first taste of Bantus capoeira. It’s free to watch.

Special Bantus Capoeira Japão Meeting
Everyone is welcome to attend this meeting where we’ll be discussing the past, present, and future of GBC Japão. All Bantus Members are expected to attend this important meeting to have your say about the future of your capoeira group. Don’t miss out! You will have an opportunity to comment on classes, give us some feedback, and make suggestions.
Time: 6pm - 9pm.
