GBC Japan Shinnenkai Party 2007
Let’s kick off 2007 with a Bantus Capoeira Shinnenkai Party in Kichijoji! Delicious Japanese food, all-you-can-drink, and great company will make this another Bantus night to remember. Everyone is welcome, so invite your friends, family, and coworkers.
Date: Sunday February 11th 2007.
Time: Straight after our Sunday class. 7pm-9pm.
Location: Nijyu Maru Kichijoji.

Bantus Winter Capoeira Camp
Don’t miss this chance to take part in the Bantus Japan Winter Capoeira Camp 2007! Everyone is invited to come along to enjoy this beautiful spot in the gorgeous Yamanashi, just a couple hours out of Tokyo. This is the perfect opportunity to get out of the big smoke of Tokyo and enjoy the fresh air in this area famous for its beautiful views of Mt.Fuji, nature, wildlife, mountains, and asteroid viewing spots!
We’ll be doing lots of capoeira throughout the day in our own mini-gymnasium, and then relaxing our tired muscles in our own private onsens! Activities include capoeira workshops in music, instruments, and dance, rodas of angola and regional, samba and forró, watching capoeira videos from Brazil, Karaoke competition, barbecue, nature walks and sightseeing, cooking and enjoying great food and good times with your fellow capoeiristas!

March in March 2007
We’ve been invited back to the 3rd “March in March” this year, so let’s get involved and support a worthy cause. We’ll be part of the “free entertainment”, so there’ll be lots of singing, capoeira music, and a nice big roda with around 700 participants!
Date: Sunday March 11th.
Time: 1.30pm~. Let’s meet at 12:30pm at Hachiko, in front of Shibuya Station.
Location: Miyashita Park, Shibuya. Map
Dress: White Bantus Capoeira uniform, and lightweight outdoor shoes.

2006 Wrap-up
2006 was an amazing year for Bantus Capoeira Japão! We were invited to perform at so many different events and were able to promote capoeira to thousands of people around Tokyo and even more in Japan and around the world through our TV, radio and Internet appearances. Student numbers increased by an incredible amount starting from April when we started classes at Event Hall Musashino in Kichijoji. But the highlight of the year for 7 of us was the first Bantus Japão Brazil trip, Festival Mundial, and Batizado in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Bring a Friend Day
In 2007 members of GBC Japão will have even more reason to be happy. Throughout the year we’ll be celebrating certain holidays by giving members of GBC Japão the chance to share the Bantus axé with their friends, family, and acquaintances, for free!
During the following weeks all members will be able to bring up to 3 friends to one class to participate for free.

International Exchange Seminar - Experience “Capoeira”
“Learn the basics of this dancing from members of Grupo Bantus Capoeira Japao and immerse yourself in Brazilian culture”.
This program is for children in the fourth grade of elementary school up to junior high school, who live in or go to school in Mitaka.
Capacity: 30 children.
Date: Saturday January 27th, February 3rd, 10th.
Time: 10am - 12noon.
Location: West Children’s Center, West Social Education Hall
