First Sunday of the Month Roda
I promised everyone I would upload the video from our roda on Sunday. Well here it is. This is not a highlights clip, this is the full recording of our roda at Go Sho. This is more like a training video for all our students to take a closer look at their ginga, their jogo, and pick what they need to work on and improve.
It’s hard to feel from watching this 320×256 video clip but this roda was really fun, full of axé, and everyone was giving lots of energy! There’s even a couple of short games of angola in the middle. By the way, first Tuesday of the Month Angola classes are in full swing with a great turn out this month.

We’ve got a long way to go still, but I’m proud of the group here in Tokyo. Everyone is slowly improving in all aspects of capoeira. More people singing, playing instruments, and developing their capoeira game. Axé!
Don’t forget to keep training at home, in the park, during your lunch break, anywhere, any time.
And last tip of the day, make sure you’re coming to class at least twice a week. You can see the improvement in those who are, but imagine if you came four times a week!
