It’s that time of year again! Hanami Time! The sakura are popping, the sun is shinning, the birds are chirping, and the rodas are just about to heat up!

Let’s Hanami!

Let’s Capoeira!

Bring your berimbaus and pandeiros, bring your capoeira pants and t-shirts, and bring your axé! We’ll be spending the day in Tokyo’s best kept secret and most beautiful park for playing capoeira. Tachikawa Showa Kinen Koen. There’ll be capoeira acro training, rodas, samba, and lots of fun! Bring your guitars, frisbees, soccer balls and whatever else you want. It might get a little chilly in the afternoon, so bring some warm clothes too.

Tell your friends and family, bring your co-workers and your neighbours, you can even bring your pets this time!

Oi Bantulinos!

We had a jam-packed AGM yesterday and it took a lot longer than I expected to get through everything. In fact, we had to skip two very important parts of the meeting.

2007 membership enrolments.

2007 membership fees will be collected from now on, and I’ll be bringing t-shirts, stickers, and song books to every class.

Electing the 2007 committee.

So we’re going to have to do this online.

The DEADLINE for electing the committee will be Tuesday March 20th 2007!
