It’s finally here! Bantus Japan’s first batizado, and we want everyone to come and join us for this very special celebration. The batizado, the most important event of the capoeira year marks the day when a capoeira player is officially welcomed into the group. If you’re not sure what the batizado is, please watch some of our videos on Youtube.
The festival leading up to the batizado is going to be full of capoeira workshops, street rodas, and lots of fun. Don’t miss this chance to learn from Mestre Pintor himself.

You must arrive 5-10 minutes before the advertised time and allow yourself some time to walk from the station. Please let us know if you’re running late.
Please wear your GBC t-shirt and pants every workshop. We have plenty of t-shirts, white pants and some colour pants in stock. Send us an email if you need to buy some.
Workshops will be taught in English/Portuguese/Japanese.

Paid GBC members have two options:
Pre-order your workshops in advance and get a discount on each workshop. You just need to confirm which days you’ll be attending, and show up on time on that day to receive your discount.

Pay at the door and you get the basic members discount.

Non GBC members have two options:
Pre-order your workshops in advance and get a 500yen discount on each workshop. You just need to confirm which days you’ll be attending, and show up on time on that day to receive your discount.
