Annual General Meeting 2008

It’s that time of year again. Time to get together and start putting into action the steps we need to take to make our capoeira dreams come true! Let’s work together as a team to meet the Mission and Vision Statements set in our 2007-2008 Constitution. We’ll be voting for the 2008-2009 Committee and discussing plans for 2008. I hope all current and future GBCJ Members can make it to our meeting.
Date: Sunday 23rd March, 2008
Time: 1pm - 5pm
Location: San Chu
Bring pen and paper
2008-2009 Committee
Either nominate yourself for a position on the committee, or nominate someone who you think would be great for that position. If that person accepts a nomination for a position, they will be in the election campaign for that position. The person who receives the most votes for the position wins the position. A nomination/self-nomination counts as one vote.
Rules:
People on the 2007 committee must commit to 12 months of dedicated work in that position, and are expected to attend regular committee meetings/submit updates via the GBCJ Committee Google Group.
Only GBCJ 2007/2008 & 2008/2009 members may be nominated for the position. Only GBCJ 2007/2008 & 2008/2009 members may nominate/vote in this election. The current Chairperson has the right to nullify a nomination if it is considered inappropriate.
Positions on the Action Teams do not need to be voted for. You only need to volunteer your services, or nominate another person for an action team (and that person must accept the nomination of course). Anyone can join or leave an action team at any time, but must be committed and dedicated as well.
