Bantus Summer Capoeira Camp
Don’t miss this chance to take part in the Bantus Japan Summer Capoeira Camp 2008! Everyone is invited to come along to enjoy this beautiful spot in the gorgeous Yamanashi, just a couple hours out of Tokyo. This is the perfect opportunity to get out of the big smoke of Tokyo and enjoy the fresh air!
We’ll be doing lots of capoeira throughout the day in our own mini-gymnasium, and then relaxing our tired muscles in our own private onsens! Activities include capoeira workshops in music, instruments, and dance, rodas of angola and regional, samba and forró, watching Bantus capoeira videos, Karaoke competition, barbecue, nature walks and sightseeing, cooking and enjoying great food and good times with your fellow capoeiristas!

Date: Saturday and Sunday June 28th-29th.
Time: Meeting at Shinjuku. Bus leaves early morning.
Location: Neo Oriental Resort, Yatsugatake Plateau, Yamanashi Prefecture, North Akanashi City.
Cost: 11,000yen. Includes two days, one night. Use of all facilities including mini-gymnasium and barbecue, capoeira workshops, rodas, and dance party and bus to the venue. Food will be extra.
The facilities include Japanese and Western style rooms, bath, rest room, washroom and kitchen, television, telephone, refrigerator, rice cooker and pot, tableware and cooking instruments, kitchen supplies, toothbrush and body soap, shampoo and rinse, dryer, towel and bath towel, microwave oven, feather futon, heater, hot spring bathroom (2 places), and karaoke equipment!

What to bring: Bring your capoeira clothes and shoes. Bring warm clothes and pyjamas. Don’t forget your digital, SLR, compact cameras and video cameras. Don’t forget your berimbaus, pandeiros, atabaques, guitars, and capoeira song books.
Bring your My Hashi, 1 cup of rice, and BYO Drinks!
Note: We need a minimum of 15 people and maximum of 28 people. Friends, family and coworkers are welcome, but everyone is expected to participate in 100% of our activities. Regular Saturday night and Sunday capoeira classes/roda will be cancelled that weekend.
