We’ll be looking into the fundamentals of the Bantus Capoeira style with Instrutor Caçapa all month in October. Taking advantage of various stretching methods, training techniques, and training exercises. Get ready to ginga till you drop!

Open to all levels, but we recommend you come with an open mind, have a basic level of fitness and high level of determination to participate in the clinics.

Date: Every Saturday in October, 2009

Time: 2.30pm – 4.30pm (KIDS 12.30pm-1.30pm, MUSIC 1.30pm-2.30pm)

Location: Mitaka San Chu Gakkou

Cost: Normal class fees apply

MISHOP WORLD 2009 FESTIVAL (FREE WORKSHOP)

FREE Capoeira Workshop @ MISHOP

Bantus Capoeira will be having a free capoeira basics workshop at the MISHOP World Festival. We’re also planning to have some rodas, some music workshops, and get involved in the other activities on offer.

There will be music, food, and fair trade goods from all over the world.

It will be a great day out for the whole family. Everyone is welcome. Don’t miss it.

World Meet Bantus Brasil (Report)

Congratulations to Professor Claudinho, Professora Marmota and Professor Tyson!

Looks like it was a great capoeira festival in Belo Horizonte last month. Congratulations to everyone that changed their cords, and welcome to Bantus Capoeira all the new cords.

Mestre Pintor will be heading over to Oceania/Asia shortly for the batizado festivals in Australia (26th Oct – 1st Nov), Malaysia (3rd – 8th Nov), Singapore (11th – 15th Nov), Thailand (19th – 22nd Nov), and Indonesia (26th – 29th Nov). Unfortunately GBCJ will be taking a break this year.

In other news from the festival, Mestre Pintor has updated our cord system. Some cords have been deleted, so the titles Instrutor, Graduado, Formado, and Professor have been moved around a bit.
