Antaru Festival 2009

Our good friend Orlando from the Antaru Cafe 8 in Asagaya, has put together a huge two day festival in Yoyogi Park in November. Featuring musical acts, food stands, and merchandise stalls from all over the world. There will also be percussion workshops and other artistic adventures going on all weekend.

Guests from Nação Capoeira and Capoeira Nação join us at the Antaru Festival 2007
Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th, November, 2009
The Antaru Festival Project is designed to nurture the spirit of peace that is ever present and rapidly growing in our world, as well as provide a model for the future of the peace movement. It’s an opportunity to experience the actualization of peace through a from of celebration that dissolves boundaries between individuals, races and cultures. This act of bringing people closer together is achieved by sharing of unique cultural customs, as well as varieties of ethnic culture, food and music within the festival itself.

Fala galera,
We’re expecting over 7 capoeira groups from Tokyo and Osaka to help us out with this performance and roda.
I hope you can all make it to Yoyogi Koen this Sunday. If you’re not in Tokyo, then you have a good excuse. If you are in Tokyo on Sunday morning, don’t miss out!
