6th MIFA International Exchange Festival

6th MIFA International Exchange Festival

The Meguro International Friendship Association has invited Bantus Capoeira back to perform at their 6th International Festival in 2011. After the huge success of last year’s MIFA Festival capoeira performance, we’re hoping we get just as many friends joining us for another fun festival! There will be performances, workshops, stalls, tea and food on offer from all over the world.

The MIFA International Exchange Festival has been held since 2006 to encourage friendship among international and Japanese residents. The number of visitors has increased year on year.
Now the festival is a forum for people from more than 30 different countries to establish ties and enjoy activities together.

Schedule on Twitter (Bye Bye Namakemono Mail)

Schedule on Twitter

2/1 Update: Our Twitter service is experiencing technical difficulties, but should be up soon.

Way back in October 2006 we introduced Google Calendar to keep you up-to-date with our schedule. Not long after, capoeira groups all over the world starting using Google Calendar on their sites too.

Bantus on Google Calendar

Then in February 2007 we introduced you to the Namakemono Mail. A simple to use email service that kept you up-to-date with the GBCJ schedule. Graduado Caçapa faithfully updated that service every month with the upcoming schedule for 4 years.

Bantus “Namakemono Mail”

Good News and Bad News

First the bad news, due to lack of interest, Graduado Caçapa has decided to stop supporting the Namakemono mail as of February 2011.

The Good News is we have a new way to keep up-to-date with our schedule, check from any mobile device, and receive updates in a million different ways.

I am going to replace the Namakemono mail with Twitter. This twitter account will soon be showing all upcoming classes and events.

Don’t forget about Google Calendar. The best way to follow our schedule. Add it to your calendar on your PC, iPhone, iPod, Android phone, Blackberry, Smartphone, Keitai etc. Follow the XML feed with any application that reads RSS feeds.
