【東北関東大震災による災害のお見舞い/お知らせ】とGBCJクラスのお知らせ
このたびの東北関東大震災により被災された皆さまに、心よりお見舞いを申し上げるとともに、一日も早い復興をお祈りいたします。
また、被災地にて支援活動にあたられている他国の方々共に自衛隊やボランティアの皆さまの努力に、心からお礼を申し上げます。

今後GBCJでも出来る事をしてゆきたいと思っています。
その際には、皆様のご協力を宜しくお願い申し上げます。【EHMと三鷹市役所スポーツ振興課より】
・EHMより連絡があり「一応今月いっぱい様子みですが閉める事になりました。」
・学校は「何かあると行けないので今月一杯閉校します。」
との事でGBCJはクラスを行う施設がお休みの為今月一杯無理そうです。また、本日３月１８日に武蔵野市・三鷹市の計画停電がエリアより外されましたので先方より再度連絡が来ると思います。
新しい連絡が届き次第皆様へご連絡を致します。まだ余震が続いていますが、皆さまがご無事で、一日も早く日常の生活に戻られることを、心よりお祈りしております。

Class Cancelled
All Bantus Capoeira Japan Classes have been cancelled for March, 2011, until further notice.
Event Hall Musashino will be closed for the rest of March, 2011 due to the earthquake, aftershocks, and subsequent scheduled power blackouts.
FAB Academy Tokyo will be closed until further notice.
Mitaka City has advised all classes be cancelled for the rest of March 2011.
We deeply regret cancelling all capoeira classes in such unfortunate circumstances. We know you need your Bantus Capoeira Axé in these troubled times. We promise we’ll be back bigger, stronger, more powerful in April ready to start the new membership year with force.

Class Cancelled

Japan Earthquake Information – Updated Mar 14, 8:05AM
Scheduled Blackout
There will be a scheduled blackout (power outage) starting the morning of 3/14 in Tokyo, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Gunma, Chiba, Kanagawa, Saitama, Yamanashi, and Shizuoka.
Areas will be divided into 5 groups and each group will experience about 3 hours of power outage.Please refer to the TEPCO Homepage (as of now, the list is only provided in Japanese) to find out which group you are in and what time the power outage will occur in your group.
Train companies have announced that there will be irregular operation, including out of service hours. Summary here.
JR | Tokyo Metro | Toei Subway/Bus | Tokyu | Odakyu | Keio | Tobu | Keikyu | Keisei
Major out of services are: Tokaido Line (all day), Yokosuka Line (all day), Yokohama Line (all day), Odakyu will only operate between Kyodo to Shinjyuku (all day), Keio will only operate between Chofu and Shinjyuku (during morning and evening rush hours).The Facebook website will not be affected by this blackout.

2011-2012 GBC Japan Membership
It’s time to renew your GBCJ membership. New members welcome!
The membership fee is ¥7500 per year starting in April. Membership is valid until the following March. Membership entitles you to special offers on Bantus Capoeira clothes and merchandise. You can become a member after 5 classes. If you’ve been to at least 10 classes/3 months, and you want to keep coming, it’s about time you joined! You’ll also receive Sports Insurance, a Bantus Capoeira t-shirt, and capoeira lyrics book to help you learn the songs.
We’ll be using the old paper system to renew membership.
Renewing your GBCJ membership entitles you to discounts at GBCJ classes and workshops etc, discount on clothes and merchandise, participation in GBC batizados, Sports Insurance for 2011-2012, and makes you a very important member of the GBC family with the unlimited support and dedication to all GBCJ members from Mestre Pintor, Contra-Mestre Claudinho, Professor Rafael, all GBC instructors, and your instructor and leader, Graduado Caçapa, and Cafune.
Membership price is:
1) 7,500yen
2) Our 9 Rules (English, 日本語)
All GBCJ members are required to live by those 9 rules.
I’ll be talking more about the 2011-2012 GBCJ membership in all classes this month.
