Eu Sou Bantus Capoeira
Querido mestre
Sua liçença me dá pra poder falar do grupo pra poder me expressar
Tenho aqui bons companheiros
Energia pra sobrarEu sou Bantus Capoeira
Subindo o morro descendo a ladeira
Eu sou Bantus Capoeira
Eu jogo bonito e na brincadeira
Eu sou Bantus Capoeira
Martelo cruzado, chibata e rasteiraÉ brasileiro capoeira de valor
Deu a vida à essa arte
O seu nome é Pintor
Eu sou Bantus Capoeira
Subindo o morro descendo a ladeira
Eu sou Bantus Capoeira
Eu jogo bonito e na brincadeira
Eu sou Bantus Capoeira

Today I received a special email from Mestre Pintor, it reads like this:
Today, 18/06/2008, Wednesday, marks 100 years of Japanese immigration in Brazil, and we are thankful to the pioneers for bringing to Brazil a little bit of Japan and to be able to know better how important the participation of the Japanese in Brazil is.
Till late

Festa Junina!

The capoeira camp just keeps getting better and better! Not only will we have a special guest instructor and workshops, surprise capoeira movies, and countless unforgettable moments. We’ve got a Festa Junina party planned!
Festa Junina is a typical harvest festival originally celebrated in Northeasern Brazil at the beginning of winter or the rainy season, and now becoming popular around the world riding on the coattails of the current Forró boom. What makes Festa Junina so fun is everyone gets to dress up as country folk and enjoy typical country style food, music and dance.
So for GBC Japão, that means the men will be drawing moustaches and mono-brows on their faces, wearing checked shirts, overalls, old jeans and suspenders, and straw hats. Meanwhile the women will be drawing freckles on their faces and painted-gaps on their teeth, pigtails and wearing checked/floral country dresses.
Date: Saturday, June 28th, 2008
Time: Saturday night - till late
Location: Spadio, Yamanashi - our own “bangalo”
Clothes: Festa Junina costume!
Food and Drink: Brazilian Cachaça!

Don’t forget your costumes!
PS. It’s not too late to let us know you’re coming. But hurry up!
