Eu Sou Bantus Capoeira

Eu Sou Bantus Capoeira

Querido mestre
Sua liçença me dá pra poder falar do grupo pra poder me expressar
É aqui no Bantus que eu gosto de treinar
Tenho aqui bons companheiros
Energia pra sobrar

Eu sou Bantus Capoeira
Subindo o morro descendo a ladeira
Eu sou Bantus Capoeira
Eu jogo bonito e na brincadeira
Eu sou Bantus Capoeira
Martelo cruzado, chibata e rasteira

É brasileiro capoeira de valor
Deu a vida à essa arte
O seu nome é Pintor
Eu sou Bantus Capoeira
Subindo o morro descendo a ladeira
Eu sou Bantus Capoeira
Eu jogo bonito e na brincadeira
Eu sou Bantus Capoeira
Martelo cruzado, chibata e rasteira

Original Music and Lyrics by Leandro Couri (Titio) 1998

Alternate Version:

Querido mestre sua licença me dá
Pra pode falar do grupo
Pra pode me expressar
E aqui dentro que eu gosto de treina
Tenho aqui bons companheiros energia pra jogar

Eu sou Bantus Capoeira
Subindo o morro descendo a ladeira
Eu sou Bantus Capoeira
E Bantus Capoeira Bantus Capoeira
Eu sou Bantus Capoeira
Subindo o morro descendo a ladeira

Metropolis Magazine Q&A + Metpod

The Metropolis Magazine

If you’re in Tokyo this week, make sure you get yourself a copy of the Metropolis Magazine, Japan’s No.1 English Magazine. Because when you turn to page five you’ll see Bantus Capoeira Japão’s very own instructor, Caçapa. The interview in the weekly feature “faces & places” q&a section was conducted via email with Connor Shepherd and the magazine’s editor. Of course due to space contraints the interview had to be cut somewhat but the full interview can be seen at the bottom of this post.

Yes, that’s right. Saturday night classes are back.
Starting at 7pm sharp and ending at 9pm, we will have a Capoeira Basics class.

Well, this class will focus on the basics of capoeira. It’s the perfect place to start if you’re looking for a good introduction to capoeira, but were to afraid to join a regular class.

But it is not just for beginners. Regular students are welcome to come along too. You always need to work on the fundamentals, and you’ll also be able to help out the new guys, and share the world famous Bantus energy.
