We apologize once again.

Event Hall Musashino will be closed Monday, 14th March 2011 due to scheduled power blackouts.

Our next scheduled capoeira class will be Thursday 17th March, 2011 at FAB.

Scheduled Blackout
There will be a scheduled blackout (power outage) starting the morning of 3/14 in Tokyo, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Gunma, Chiba, Kanagawa, Saitama, Yamanashi, and Shizuoka.
Areas will be divided into 5 groups and each group will experience about 3 hours of power outage.

Please refer to the TEPCO Homepage (as of now, the list is only provided in Japanese) to find out which group you are in and what time the power outage will occur in your group.

Train companies have announced that there will be irregular operation, including out of service hours. Summary here.

JR | Tokyo Metro | Toei Subway/Bus | Tokyu | Odakyu | Keio | Tobu | Keikyu | Keisei
Major out of services are: Tokaido Line (all day), Yokosuka Line (all day), Yokohama Line (all day), Odakyu will only operate between Kyodo to Shinjyuku (all day), Keio will only operate between Chofu and Shinjyuku (during morning and evening rush hours).

The Facebook website will not be affected by this blackout.

Introducing two new class discounts at Grupo Bantus Capoeira Japão. The discount is based on how many classes you attend in the month. FAB classes must be paid for at FAB Academy Tokyo, but will count towards your discount at GBCJ classes!

Kids Capoeira is here!

We have updated the class fee system.

Date: Saturday

Time: 12.30pm-1.30pm (doors open 12.15pm). Kids are welcome to stay for the music class (1.30pm-2.30pm)

Location: Mitaka San Chu Junior High School

Cost: First Class: 500yen.
Members Fee: 5000yen (includes sports insurance and 1st month FREE!).
Monthly Fee: 4000yen

Acro Workshop

Due to popular demand we’ll have a couple of extra classes focusing on acrobatics in capoeira. This class is open to everyone, however we’ll be training some high risk movements under the safe supervision of your instructor.

Date: Sunday 6th & 13th September, 2009

Time: 6.30pm-9.00pm

Location: Yon Sho (Mitaka Dai Yon Shogakkou Elementary School)

All Monday night classes at Event Hall Musashino: 1000yen!

During the rainy season, all GBCJ members, non-members, and visitors can save up to 1000yen per class. First time students at GBCJ pay 500yen.

As always, GBCJ members may bring a friend to any class to receive their first class free (save 500yen).

Time: 7.30pm-8.45pm (Doors open 7pm)
