Summer Schedule
You may have noticed we’ve changed the schedule slightly.
Here’s the good news:
Our new schedule is much easier to remember.
Every Monday we’ll be at Event Hall Musashino from 7.30pm-9pm (doors open 7pm).
Less than 5 minutes walk from Kichijoji Station, about 15 minutes from Shinjuku on the JR Chuo line, or Shibuya on the Keio Inokashira Line.
Every Saturday we’ll be at Mitaka San Chu Junior High School from 12.30pm-5pm (doors open 12.15pm).
About 20 minutes walk from Kichijoji Station through the lovely Inokashira Park and surrounding neighbourhood.
Most Sundays we have a Park Roda in Inokashira Park, or other exciting event planned.
Please check our schedule page to confirm classes and events.
After five years in Japan, we’ll be starting our first Bantus Capoeira Kids Class! More information about the Kids Class coming soon.
The Saturday class will look like this:
12.30pm-1.30pm (Kids Capoeira Class)
1.30pm – 2.30pm (Music, Instruments)
2.30pm – 4.30pm (Warm-Up, Stretch, and Capoeira Class)
4.30pm – 5pm (Roda)
The bad news is, due to lack of student participation, Wednesday classes have been cancelled until further notice.
世界禁煙デー・ホーダ
バントゥス カポエイラ ジャパンは「World No Tobacco Day 2009」を記念して、5月31日（日）にオープンホーダを行います。井の頭公園 - 三鷹の森ジブリ美術館公園 で、新鮮な空気や緑を楽しみながら一緒にカポエイラしましょう！ホーダ後はみんなでディナーに行く予定なので、’マイ 箸’持ってきましょう！

「タバコの健康警告表示」
～すべてのタバコパッケージに画像による健康警告表示を義務付けること～
実は別のところでちょうど、タバコの警告表示についてコメントを頂いていたので、
非常に私的にタイムリーだっりしてます（笑）。
子供が見たら泣いちゃうかもしれませんね。
でも、泣いて済むなら泣いててもらったほうがいいんです。
大切な人を失う本当の悲しみに比べれば、
怖くて泣くのなんて、う○こ以下です。

Earth Day Open Roda
To celebrate “Earth Day Tokyo 2009″ Grupo Bantus Capoeira Japan will be holding an open roda on Sunday, April 19th. So come on down to Inokashira Koen (井の頭公園) and let’s enjoy a day of fresh air, green grass, and capoeira.
After the roda we’ll go out for dinner. Whoever forgets to bring their “My Hashi” has to pay for someone else!

The humble waribashi – disposable wooden, or literally ’split-apart’ chopsticks. Japan consumes a massive 25 billion sets of them every year – about 200 pairs per person.

All over the world people will be celebrating our environment on Earth Day and thinking of ways they can save the earth. One way you can help save the earth here in Japan is by refusing to use Waribashi (disposable chopsticks).
Get your own pair of “My Hashi” and take them with you everywhere you go. There are thousands of shops where you can get your own portable chopsticks, from the 100yen variety to the now highly fashionable “My Hashi” online store, or collapsible chopsticks you can wear around your neck. Just pop into your local bento shop and have a look around. There are boundless designs to capture your heart, from Hello Kitty to Doraemon, Sakura to Mt. Fuji.
